Format Printing System
The
Format package is a document composing editor using variable data and
images. A powerful and easy to use tool which has WYSIWYG (What You See Is
What You Get) interactive and friendly interface.
Besides, there is no need to know a printer programming language.
Format is available in several languages and can be translated to any
language in an easy way. It was developed with internationalization in mind.
Runs on PCs using Unix or Windows operating systems.
Format provides great flexibility in composing and creating your
personalized documents as well as improving their layout and design.
Using several graphic elements and advanced text editing with fixed and
dynamic (overflow) contents, the user get a rich look document produced in
less time at a reduced cost. You can see, in the figure below some tools
available in Format Printing System such as: images (logotype, graphics and
signature), bar and pie charts, heading and page numbering, boxes, circles
and lines, forms, address and text blocks, rotated elements (text or images)
and bar codes.
Format has a friendly and
intuitive interface, it's as easy as working with a text editor. It also has
a tools palette to simplify and speed up the construction of your
application. Just click twice on any empty area on the screen, or over an
already existing element to create or modify its properties.
These properties could be any text font chosen, colors, object position
inside the document, rotation, etc. Format has also a powerful text field
where you can write your own conditional logic sentences. Calm down! If you
are not a programmer, don't worry about it, Format comes with an expression
editor, very easy to be used.
As Format runs on Windows
environment, you are able to use your fonts at will, even if they are True
Type, Postscript or Open Type. Just add imagination to your documents!
Format generates a variety of print streams like: Xerox Metacode, AFP, IPDS,
PCL, PostScript, and PDF.
Format in a
Corporative and Departmental Environment
Format can be executed via the
command line in background. Can also runs on a Web Server, managing digital
documents online. Great for call centers, internet searches and queries.
The Marketing Department can use Format for developing personalized
templates with dynamic images and/or text blocks, without the need of
assistance from the programming department.
Format is very flexible in its document handling and adapts very well to the
existing environment, producing a wide variety of documents including for
Network, Internet, or Call Center.
At the departmental level Format can be used in conjunction with printing
queue systems for further administration and charge back control of print
usage.
